Our Wedding

If you had asked Anne and Nora in high school if they'd end up getting married someday, they probably would have laughed... and then secretly hoped it might be true. Their story began in a small town in Northern California, where they attended the same high school and quickly became close friends. From the start, they were drawn to each other's energy and shared a connection that felt different from anything else. There were definitely feelings involved, but life had a way of sending them in different directions. After high school, Nora headed off to college in New Jersey while Anne stayed in California. They lost touch over the years, but neither ever completely forgot the other. Then, more than ten years after they first met, fate—and Anne's investigative skills—stepped in. Anne somehow managed to find Nora's cell phone number (which, thankfully, was one of the few things Nora had never changed) and decided to send a message. Best decision ever. Since that day, they haven't gone a single day without talking. What started as a simple text quickly turned into countless phone calls, plane tickets, FaceTime dates, and two years of long-distance love. While long distance isn't usually on anyone's list of favorite activities, it gave them the chance to build an incredibly strong foundation and confirmed that they wanted the same thing: a life together. Eventually, Anne made the brave decision to trade California sunshine for New Jersey winters, and their life together in Hoboken officially began. These days, they spend their time raising their two adorable dogs, Blue and Benji, running a successful dog business together, and debating what to eat for dinner approximately every single day. They love game nights, good food, spontaneous adventures, spending time with friends and family, and laughing at each other's jokes—even the bad ones. What they cherish most isn't any one big moment, but the life they've built together: the ordinary mornings, the daily routines, the inside jokes, and the comfort of knowing they've found their person. Looking back, it's hard to believe that two teenagers from the same hometown would reconnect more than a decade later and end up here. But sometimes the universe knows exactly what it's doing—even if it takes its sweet time. Thank you for being part of our story. We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of the people we love most.

Ayana has been by Nora's side since they met while volunteering at their local hospital in high school. What started as a friendship built on giving back has grown into a lifelong bond. Nora and Anne are incredibly proud to be godparents to Ayana's two beautiful children, Xavier and Anaya, and are so grateful to call her family. Ayana's kindness, loyalty, and unwavering friendship have made her such a special part of their lives, and they couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without her by their side.

Ayana Dixon

Chris and Nora met during their junior year at Seton Hall, and it didn't take long for them to become family. Their friendship has only grown stronger over the years—so much so that Chris has his own key to Nora and Anne's apartment building and often stops by for laughs and snacks. Chris and Anne have become close friends too, creating countless memories together along the way. They feel incredibly lucky to have Chris in their lives and couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without him by their side.

Ellie and Nora met during their freshman year at Seton Hall while living in Boland Hall, and they quickly became the kind of friends who were always up for an adventure. From college memories to traveling the world together, they've shared countless unforgettable experiences and have never been ones to shy away from a spontaneous trip or a last-minute plan. Whether they're exploring a new country or just making the most of an ordinary day, life is always more fun with Ellie around. Nora and Anne are so grateful for her friendship and couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without her by their side.

Ellie Etienne

Erin first came into Nora's life through her sister, Megan, but it didn't take long for her to become a close friend to both Nora and Anne. Whether they're cheering on the New York Liberty from their season seats, trying a new restaurant, or finding their next fun adventure, Erin is always up for making great memories. Most importantly, she's the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—loyal, dependable, and always there when you need her. Nora and Anne feel incredibly lucky to have Erin in their lives and couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without her by their side.

Erin Rafter

Kenny and Nora have been best friends since high school, and despite spending most of their friendship living on opposite coasts, distance has never stood a chance against their bond. They share the exact same sense of humor, which usually means they're laughing so hard they're in tears whenever they're together. Through every milestone, celebration, and challenge, they've always shown up for one another with endless love and support. Anne has also been lucky enough to build a wonderful friendship with Kenny and is looking forward to a lifetime of laughter with him. Nora and Anne couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without him by their side.

Kenny Boyer

Mackenzie and Nora met at Seton Hall while working together in Alumni Relations, spending countless hours cold-calling alumni and asking for donations (a bonding experience, to say the least!). It didn't take long for them to realize they'd found a lifelong best friend. From studying abroad together in France as roommates to traveling the world side by side, they've shared adventure after adventure. After graduating, they took another leap together and moved to Thailand to teach English. While life eventually led them to different corners of the world, their friendship has remained as strong as ever. No matter the distance, Mackenzie will always be family, and Nora and Anne couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without her by their side.

Mackenzie Scibetta

Megan and Nora became best friends early in their Seton Hall days, and it's been one adventure after another ever since. Whether they're bonding over great music, amazing food, traveling the world, or simply laughing until their stomachs hurt, they always know how to make the most of every moment together. In 2017, they moved to Hoboken and spent the next eight years as roommates, creating countless memories and becoming more like sisters than friends. Anne and Megan have also built a wonderful friendship of their own, making Megan an even more cherished part of their lives. Nora and Anne feel incredibly lucky to have her in their corner and couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without her by their side.

Megan Rafter

Mic and Anne met while working together in management at Tesla, and let's just say one of the best things to come out of that experience was their friendship. (Getting out of there wasn't too bad either!) They quickly bonded over their shared sense of humor, common values, and appreciation for the simple things in life—especially meaningful friendships. Even though they now live on opposite coasts, they've always made their friendship a priority. Mic is the kind of loyal friend who is always there when it matters most, and Anne is just as grateful to be there for him. Nora and Anne couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without him by their side.

Mic Gabriel

Shannon came into Nora's life through the Rafter sisters, Erin and Megan, as an OG honorary Rafter sister herself. Nora likes to joke that she and Shannon are the extra Rafter sisters no one asked for (sorry, not sorry!!). Shannon is hands-down one of the funniest people Anne and Nora know, and somehow manages to make every gathering brighter just by being there. Her positivity is contagious, her friendship is unwavering, and she's the kind of person you can always count on, no matter what. Nora and Anne feel incredibly lucky to have Shannon in their lives and couldn't imagine celebrating their wedding day without her by their side.

Shannon Dickson

Harrison and Nora met while studying abroad together in France in 2016, and they instantly knew they had found a lifelong friend. Together they've traveled the world, shared unforgettable adventures, and collected enough memories to last a lifetime. Despite the fact that they're both gay and interested in different sexes, they've somehow been mistaken for a couple more times than they can count—and honestly, they take it as the highest compliment. Their friendship is built on endless laughter, unconditional love, and a bond that's truly one of a kind. There was never a question about who would officiate Nora and Anne's wedding, and they couldn't imagine anyone more perfect to help them begin this next chapter.

Harrison Wallace

Anaya is Ayana's sweet daughter and Nora and Anne's beloved goddaughter. She brings so much joy, laughter, and love wherever she goes, and watching her grow has been one of the greatest gifts in their lives. They are beyond honored to have their precious girl as their Flower Girl and can't wait to watch her make her way down the aisle on their wedding day.

Anaya

Xavier is Ayana's wonderful son and Nora and Anne's beloved godson. He brings so much fun, energy, and happiness to everyone around him, and watching him grow has been such a joy. Nora and Anne are incredibly proud to be his godparents and are so excited to have him as their Ring Bearer. They can't wait to watch him make his big walk down the aisle and be part of such a special day.

Xavier

Blue is convinced this wedding is really about him—and honestly, we're not here to argue. Whether he's demanding cuddles, supervising snack time, or perfecting the art of figuring out how to get what he wants, Blue keeps Nora and Anne laughing every single day. He's the very best boy and an irreplaceable member of the family. This wedding wouldn't be the same without him making a special appearance!

Blue

Benji is the definition of "go with the flow." Curious, gentle, and endlessly friendly, he's happiest exploring the world alongside his big brother, Blue, who Benji proudly follows everywhere. When he's not on an adventure, you'll usually find him fast asleep on his back—with all four paws in the air—preferably snuggled up in one of his moms' arms. His sweet soul and easygoing personality make him impossible not to love. Our wedding wouldn't be the same without him present.

Benji

Martin (aka Marty) has been part of the family ever since the day Nora and Anne piled into the car with Megan to bring him home. They've loved watching him grow from an adorable puppy into the sweetest boy. Whether he's playing with Blue, Benji, and Powder or snuggling up for a well-earned nap, Marty is happiest surrounded by his best friends. His goofy charm, sweet personality, and endless love have earned him honorary family status, and Nora and Anne couldn't love him more. He will most definitely be making an appearance during the big day.

Martin

Powder has been a VIP (Very Important Pup) ever since he became one of the very first dogs Nora and Anne cared for when they started Paw Paradise. What began as a client relationship quickly turned into a lifelong friendship with his amazing dads, Ryan and Will—and Powder officially became part of the family too. With his hilarious personality and endless charm, he's impossible not to love. Whether he's playing with his best buds Blue, Benji, and Marty or soaking up all the attention, Powder always brings a smile to everyone's face. Nora and Anne are so excited to have this very important pup stopping by during their big day.
